Special Events

We have a number of Special Events each year. Here are the details of the last few…

World Book Day 2024

We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite book characters. We played guess the school staff’s favourite children’s book and the teachers swapped classes during the day for story times.

Anzac Day

We are proud of our links with the ANZACs who were based in Leighterton during WW!.  The children were filmed for the ANZAC service which will be broadcast on ANZAC Day.  The called the roll and laid sprigs of rosemary on the grave of the men who died.

Bees at Leighterton!

We had a swarm of bees arrive at school.  They have been collected by a local bee keeper!

In the Community

Some of our children have created a presentation about how to use a defibrillator. Follow this link to see the presentation.

Drone

We had a drone flying over school yesterday to do some thermal imaging. This is one of the pictures it took. We are hoping for a video too!

Our lovely PTFA run Pancake Cafe was enjoyed by everyone.

We Love Books Day 2023

The children dressed up as book characters. We spent the day doing activities and enjoying reading different favourite books.
