HEALTHY EATING

Part of preparing children for their future is educating them to make healthy choices which will impact on their lives.  We encourage the children to eat a piece of fruit during the morning break.

We are very lucky to have school meals cooked on site and there is a very high uptake of our delicious options.  Currently, children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage One are provided with a school lunch under the government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals initiative.

If you receive the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and
  • have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working
  • Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit

your child may be eligible for Free School Meals which attracts Pupil Premium funding. If your child is eligible for this funding they will be so for the duration of their time at Primary School even if your personal situation changes. As a school we are able to use this funding to provide your child with additional support according to their particular needs.

If your children bring packed lunches, we ask that parents support us by providing their child with a balanced healthy meal.
