What we do…

The Leighterton Primary School Full Governing Body has three core functions which are:   

    • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction 
    • Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management of staff 
    • Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent. 

As Governors we are committed to supporting the school, its pupils and its community. Our aim is to help pupils grow, thrive and enjoy school life as they progress on their learning journey.
