K’Nex Challenge

As always, we loved our K’Nex challenge this year. We impressed the challenge leader with our knowledge of engineering. We were instructed to make a machine that could lift a block into the air, using at least one mechanism. All of our models were very impressive and it was a very close call but the lucky winners were James and William. Congratulations boys!

Art Week

Ridge class thoroughly enjoyed art week. We were fortunate enough to have visits from Mrs Oxtoby and Mrs Hurdle who were both very interesting and engaging. We appreciated their knowledge and experience so much, we gave them many rounds of applause. Following our visits, we experimented with acrylic paint. First we drew sketch our pets using the grid technique and then applied paint in a range of ways. We are very proud of the finished outcomes. We also loved using the computers to make our own pixelated characters and pop art pictures in P.E.

These are our Clarice Cliff inspired clay pots. We practised creating different geometric designs and chose our own colour combinations.

Gallery

Take a look at some of our work and sometimes us in the classroom. You are always welcome to come into school and take a closer look. You can see from the displays in our classrooms the variety of topics we cover. As the year progresses, the displays change. By July, you will be able to see the whole range of subjects we have covered. Our Working walls help us learn – the content builds as the term progresses.
