Part time Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs

Leighterton Primary School is seeking to appoint an, enthusiastic team player in our friendly and popular village school.  We are looking for a hard-working and flexible person with a good sense of humour and the ability to work with a child who will be starting Year 2, with an Educational Healthcare Plan, to join us in September 2018. 

The hours will be from 10.30 am – 1.00 pm from Monday to Friday on Grade D (pts 11-17) £17,007 – £18,672 pro rata.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • support social communication and language skills
  • use their initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the individual
  • be a team player with a good sense of humour and a positive approach
  • liaise with the child’s family and professionals involved
  • work well as part of a team and has energy and enthusiasm

This post is a temporary subject to funding that will end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school.
